It’s every teenager's worst nightmare; you plan out exactly how your day is going to go; you’re finally going to stand out from the rest of your classmates when much to your chagrin, your act of individuality is usurped by your peers doing the exact same thing as you.

On a what seemed like a typical Friday afternoon, five different teenagers were left embarrassed when they entered Rio Rancho High School, all wielding the same semi-automatic rifle. The teens were obviously frustrated, one saying “It was just so humiliating, a lot of the other kids just made fun of us, I even heard one guy ask us ‘did you all plan this last night at your slumber party?’ On a day that was supposed to be all about me finally standing out from the crowd… it just hurts.”

Sandra Huckabee, a history teacher at the school, voiced her sympathy for the students stating “Those poor kids… No one deserves to be made fun of for what they wear or what gun they decide to bring to school. I had hoped that Rio Rancho would be a safe place for students emotional well-being, as it is most certainly not for students physical well being.”

When asked if bullying is a common problem at the school, Huckabee responded saying “As a teacher you expect kids to bring military-grade weapons to school but bullying is something that we cannot tolerate as a facility.”

The NRA was quick to voice their concerns over the ordeal, as President Carolyn D. Meadows stated that she had started plans to release new AR-15 guns in a variety of different styles to ensure any student can show their individuality with their terror-inducing tool.
